Karla hated their kin and all they represented but on that dark night, she could not kill him. He was such a cute baby, so helpless. He wasn't aware of what his parents had done to hers, he was just there... so innocent. She just left him there in the pool of blood that flowed from his parents; whether he'd die or be rescued wasn't her concern at least she didn't end him like she did his parents. Revenge was sweet.

Karla alone knew about the hatred between her maternal family and the people who lived opposite them. Staring out of the window of her living room and watching them go about their lives so simply made her know that they too were unaware of what had erupted into a bloodly feud that saw all her family burned. No one else knew it but her family did, that she was the reason  for the hostilities. They kept it, they kept her a secret from the world and thought all would end well until the seer arrived. Both families were peaceful together but when the seer came and told the other family what was to be, they all turned against her family. Karla had always been with her aunt(a family friend), in fact she knew her parents as near relatives so she was kept away from the cross fire. It was that night when her sleep became restless and her dreams torment-full that she knew whose daughter she was. But by the time she could come to terms with the thought that night, her whole family was gone; ...

He was the reason  she had changed her ways for her ways had been very very terrible.  He alone knew how much it took to get her to be the nice prim and proper woman that everyone had come to know her to be. He alone understood the pain she passed through many nights when the sun was down and not in sight, when men fell asleep and baby's cooed. Only he knew. Today, like the many days past,  she was fighting the urge again. It had come stronger on her these past few days and it started when her daughter came home crying about being bullied. She felt the blood in her neck rush through her insides making her uneasy. Only one look at her made him know that a lot of their work on her would go down the drain if he didn't calm her down. This is Karla and her life is about to turn around again only, she doesn't know it yet.
