I know that we are only humans and we can only do as much as we can. But can we really  attest to the fact we are truly giving it all we can? Let's not deceive ourselves or others but let's really look within and be true to one another and ask yourself if you really did all it takes to get that job done? Did you really try to help that person in need? Did you really study hard for that course? Did you really put in all you could to make that relationship work?  DID YOU? Yes yes,  honesty is the best policy and it's sweeter to hear yourself tell others that but do you tell it to yourself? Tell yourself the truth today cos sometimes, in fact  many times,  only 100% effort matters. Your 99% just won't do. It's hard to hear that though you put in some effort, it just won't do. But, only the truth will help. So I urge you today to attack everything you plan to do today and always with a 100% or nothing mindset. It pays!!! Be well!

In life,  you'll get to a point where  no one else but you matters. I'm not saying this in a self-conceited, narcissistic way but in a rather reflective manner. Read along with me. Bruno had his exams coming up faster than he'd imagined.  He had hoped for it to be delayed by some form of academic diversion,  a strike or even by divine means but no, it just came closer and closer. He wouldn't have been worried about it if he was prepared for it but he wasn't.  Everyone thought he was and his classmates kept hailing him cos he looked smart but only he knew what he was going through. One day,  he tried to tell his best friend about it but he laughed at him so hard, Bruno felt embarrassed. Bruno wished his friend wouldn't joke about it but he did. His friend just didn't believe that ''smart Bruno"was in a fix.   He tried to tell his mom about it but somehow even though she nodded her head when he spoke,  he knew that she didn't reall...

Don't you dare ever look down on someone, anyone for that matter and no matter how small,  short,  slim,  fat,  big,  black,  white or brown they may be,  DON'T YOU DARE LOOK DOWN ON ANYONE. Its one of the tough lessons to learn especially when the world seems to be filled with misfits but there is no excuse,  don't look down on anyone. The funny thing is that the ones we often looked down on turn out to be better than what we thought. Life is more precious than the little boxes you expect everyone to fit into. And... The way you look to someone might be the way they see you. In the end you are looking down on you.

Never lose hope! We had some dried tiger nuts around the house for a while though a delicacy here in Nigeria,  it's a bit jaw-stressing, so it was soaked in water for a long while and before we knew it,  they became fresh, fattened and soft again.  It's going to be thrilling chewing them and getting its sweet milky juice. The moral of this story is to never give up hope. We could have easily thrown the nuts away for it dryness but hope was not lost  and we got fresh nuts today just by the process of diffusion. Today,  you may be going through a lot and it may seem like hope took a long vacation but don't stop hoping and believing cos one day,  you'll get what you desire.  Have a blessed day.
