A man was walking by a school wall one day when he heard a teacher asking the students what 1+1 is. A student stood up and gave the answer as 4. The man outside shook his head and said "Na wa o, where is this country going sef, ehn? So everything is just increasing; cost of dollar, fuel price, transport fare and food stuffs. Rebecca or Becky as she was fondly called was a sweet, charming, exuberant girl. The third child in a family of six, she didn't enjoy the pleasure of having a brother nor a concrete father figure. Her father was an engineer who worked outside the country and rarely returned. In all her sixteen years, she had only seen her father twelve times. The longest he had stayed with them was two weeks and that was because he was sick and had to return home to get well. The man and woman of the house was her mother, a stern woman and quite a disciplinarian. Her family was a decent one living in the suburbs. She had never been away from them. Her mother, a school teacher would always drum morals into her daughters' ears as they wake up and before they go to bed. "I don't want to be the mother of a disgraceful daughter" she would always say. With the constant warning from their mother, the girls kept off boys like a plague. Becky would soon gain admission to the university, ...

"Why, where could this be coming from?" she questioned. They had been like siblings since the first days of their meeting, and things have been great that way. He had never looked at her suspiciously nor said anything to suggest otherwise. They were free with each other and could tell themselves everything, even very personal stuff. He was ready to fight and defend her and she could sacrifice her last for him. To him, she was a younger sister and to her, he was a big brother. Sometimes she laid on his body when the stress of the day had had its toll on her. Now she couldn't understand where a different attraction is springing from. She was now feeling strange around him.
