Karla went on a long vacation after that incident only to return and find her daughter in the worse of shape because of the taunting. She decided she had had enough of all of it and went on to end it.
She would find is what she had started many years back and this time,  she would make sure nothing lived to breathe.
Her husband noticed some changes in her behaviour and felt that she was relapsing. Since he hadn't all the facts,  he decided to keep an eye on her.
