ABOUT THE DROUGHT 12 (THE END)

The drought had become much more than  the weather man spoke of. It didn't pass, it stayed and by the time it lifted, it left Olly in the same place it left him some 20 years ago. He had become the scared little boy who needed a corner to hide. The withered tendrils grew back and the darkness had him in its bossom. Lily and their little one didn't make it. That experience drilled a hole down Olly's heart and left him never expecting a lot from life since all he had was taken.

He had been sweating and shivering at the same time when she saw him. She shook him to reality and a smile followed when he opened his eyes. Lily looked concerned but Olly was lost for joy. "It wasn't real"  is all he could say.
