Watery Blood: 2
FIVE YEARS GONE
Her
night was restless, she was sweaty and her tongue was dry. She was not
unfamiliar with this feeling but she doubted that her guess could be correct. She went
to see the doctor the next day and he told her she needed to rest more and stop
stressing. She did as he suggested and for the next few days, she slept fine until
it was her birthday night.
She heard the mumblings again, this time, they were more than mumblings, they were clearer. They wanted his daughter. The newly born baby girl that is fatherless was now their new fancy and they wanted her, she would please them.
She heard the mumblings again, this time, they were more than mumblings, they were clearer. They wanted his daughter. The newly born baby girl that is fatherless was now their new fancy and they wanted her, she would please them.
She
couldn’t understand what they were asking her to do. And why were there so many
voices now? She first only heard her baby sister’s voice and now it seemed like
they were a legion of voices. Was her pious act of killing the man who
strangled her baby sister in a feat of sexual rage not what her sister had
wanted? Was it even her sister that asked her to cut off the head of the snake?
She
couldn’t do it! She wouldn’t do it!
She had by some form of false inclination
thought that as blood is thicker than water, avenging her baby sister’s death
by killing her uncle...the one who raped and strangled her sweet four year old
sister, his blood was not that thick. Why then is she now feeling
guilty?
*
Her
words made no sense to anyone who listened. No one believed her. No one ever
would for she was locked up in a mad house with the voices who would one ask
her to give them her life.
THE
END
