SOMETHING SINISTER 8

It was a neighbor at the door. She had seen Jane when she got back and decided to visit her.
Jane,  awakened by the knock on the door,  went first to her travel bag but found nothing like a crawling creature in it. She thought it was foolish so she went on to answer the door. It was her neighbor. Jane didn't feel like talking to anyone, let alone a stranger but she welcomed her into the house.
By the time her neighbor left Jane was too shocked to move.
Apparently, they were not the only ones who had lived in the house and experienced what they were experiencing. The last people moved out in a hurry,  it was said that some of their things were still left there. Her heart was broken,  really broken. The first place where they seemed to have rest from Mark's incessant postings had to be the same place where they couldn't sleep in peace. She'd have to wait for Mark to get home before she told him.
