THE GROWING YEARS: LOVE WINS

Jake had a younger brother, Joey. He enjoyed the company of his brother as he was his only male sibling with three sisters, though their age difference was well defined.

Joey wasn't the favorite of neighbors and relatives because he was a bit of a rebel. He opposed instructions and was considered to be stubborn. Usually he would be flogged or scolded for his actions but instead of changing, he was becoming more adamant. People were tired of him and resented him.

Jake wasn't in support of his brother's attitude but he knew flogging him always was not the solution. He would punish him sometimes, scold him at other times and still carry him along with him to where he was going to. Joey was like his armour bearer. They would make jokes together, watch movies and cartoons together, plot coups against their sisters together among other fun things. Joey had so much respect for his brother Jake at the end of the day that only a look spoke volume. What others would scream at Joey for needed only a look from Jake for him to stop doing it.

Jake conquered the beast in his brother with LOVE! Sometime the hard way isn't the right way. Some 'bad' people around may have been influenced by their society or other factors. It wouldn't be proper to throw them to the dogs or the slammer at the first chance we get. We could get to know them, show them love and hope they change.

LOVE ALWAYS WINS!!!
