BACK HOME 4
She opened the door and turned on the light. The place looked different with the light turned on, she had always remembered the place as always being so dark.
She looked round the room and then the memories came flooding in. She heard the little girl's sobs, her screams. She felt her pain, she was in real pain. She never had the time to be a child. She saw a crack in the wall close to her, she remembered that that was were he hit her head wen she screamed too much. That day she woke up to her head wrapped in a bandage; it ached, she ached.
She remembered his voice, you are daddy's little girl and daddy loves you, loves you too much. Since your mommy is gone, you'll be mommy now. The tremors were back and this time her whole body shook. She started sweating and became dizzy. All the voices, hers and his were all over her mind.
She fell to the ground and they all ceased. Then she heard him again, you'll never find anyone to love you like I do. You'll never be able to stand the touch of another man. You'll never be happy without me no matter where you go. She rose furious and she screamed back at him, I REFUSE TO BE IN THIS ROOM ANY LONGER. I AM FREE OF YOU DAD. YOU LIE, I HAVE ALREADY FOUND LOVE, AND HE HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. I AM FREE!!!
When she walked out of the house, she walked out a free woman. In her mind, she had never left that room where the choice of becoming a woman was taken from her. But in His light she found life. A huge burden was taken from her but there was a final victory to be won. She had to see her dad.
