STARTING OUT

In life, sometimes we are faced with situations that put all we have learned to the test. One those situations is when you have to start out something new. Oh boy! That can really get you thinking.  Personally, I am mostly an introvert. I like my space, prefer that which I am used to, CHANGE scares the life out of me. And worse of all, if I have to engineer the change.... let’s leave that for another day. Today, I just want to testify that, unlike my former self, I have embraced change. There is so much out there worth trying out. Adventure is the word! I not only love change, I am change. This blog is evidence. The issue sometimes is that we mostly live our lives for the wrong reasons and purposes. We start something new not because we want to or that we love to but simply because it’s what someone else is doing. Now I am not saying that one should not try to emulate what we think is good but when you live your life in the shadow of someone or something else, that is jus...

IN THE AUDIENCE OF DEATH (a poem)

Image
Silence bespoke! Belial’s snare spread peace on agitated faces. Let the progressive tears beleaguer speeches! This uniform of death was written in cuneiform. On the papers of the harvesters’ roast pad, It’ll be taught out to the unlearned in brute quiet. The soul is stolen from its decaying sack. Dust to dust was rage’s antiphon of bliss, And darkness befell the deep. Let the tear-veiled pupil widen in watch! This ceremony of sorrow transcends paltry peace. Peace to the soulless still and sorrows to the burden bearers of absence. Rush up the dressing, dress out in gloom! Let the shades be the colour of our curtains. Rush out to the meeting heralded by pains! Let us gather and give audience to silence, At the mouth of the deep to wave adieu! Let us rush out! Give death her audience.  Written by Ileanwa Peter (Nigeria).  You too can send in your poems, stories and birthday wishes to fictionsblog1@gmail.com.  Photo cre...

PUSH PAST

Image
Everywhere you look there are voices, circumstances, occurrences telling you bluntly that you can't make it. Limitations are all around that preach "this is how far you can go".  "Push past! Push past!!" are the words from my lips to you. Push past because  you'll never know how far you can go until you do.  Make a way for yourself like the blade of grass does through thick, hard soil.  Push past because only then,  will you see the sun.  For crying out loud: PUSH PAST!  #justtoinspire  Photo credit: www.studfiles.ru and iambchow.com

ATTRACTION

Image
It was love at a glance when James was enraptured by the sonority of Mirabel's voice. He had been an avid lover of Country classics as performed by Dolly Patton, Kenny Rogers. He never knew what will hit him on a cloudy June 14th. He had constantly emphasised unequivocally the fact that he does not believe in the myth called 'love'. He would retort whenever his closest pal Ben would admonish him to give love a chance. " I don't believe in the facade called 'love' ". His friend would tell him "Love finds you when you least expect" And here he was, dumb founded and confused. She was singing with tears in her eyes steeply in worship: I desire Jesus by Hillsong There's something about this voice. He thought outloud as he walked away. He slept with burden to discover which damsel possessed such latent potential to sing with so much suave and passion. He decided there and then that he was going to shake off "this feeling". Ju...

GOODBYE OR GOOD NIGHT (THE END)

Image
The next morning, I awoke at the sound of my mother's scream, and as I and my siblings rushed to my parents room, there he was, with a smile on his face, my father was gone. He had slept the deep sleep to awake on that glorious morning when Christ comes and as I looked at the smile on my father's face, that was when it dawned on me, "thank you Lord for this last gift". I fell on my knees and wept, not because father was gone, but because I wasted so much time in giving him this gift, because he was never going to be around to teach me and groom me and help me in my walk with God, but as I wept, I heard a voice say you put that smile on his face and that is enough. Even though I wanted more, I remembered a story in the bible of how there would be joy in heaven for one soul saved and I smiled, because I knew then that father was going to have a grand welcome party and that was because I said Yes Lord,  because I said Goodnight and not Goodbye. So my dear friend, I k...

GOODBYE OR GOOD NIGHT 6

stretched out my hands to see if maybe I was dreaming or something of that sort, but the feeling didn't vanish, instead, it felt like I was getting bigger. I know that sounds crazy but I actually felt like I was increasing in size, like I was becoming a giant of some sort. Mum later told me that that's the feeling you get when you worship and you feel the Holy Spirit surround you, its like He makes a brave giant out of our timid and human nature, basically, your spirit man comes alive and fills the room. Back to the gist, as I felt bigger, I couldn't help myself but laugh. I laughed like never before. It was like I watched one of all those Kevin Hart or Eddie Murphy or Bill Cosby shows and I just couldn't help it, but it was different, it had a sense of permanence like it was not going to end no matter what came my way, no matter the trials I faced, it was here to stay, now, I've come to realize that it was joy that filled my heart that day and I can never trade t...

GOODBYE OR GOOD NIGHT 5

As I began to weep, I began to feel hot, it was like something was burning, like the house was on fire and it was gradually coming to the sitting room, but my siblings all seemed like they were not as hot as I was, they just all bowed their heads and began to pray. It felt like I was then covered up in flames, like my bones were being fried and my skin barbecued. I could see and feel the reality of the gnashing of teeth and the furnace of fire. I could feel it all. I cried and wept and asked how I could be saved. My sins kept flashing before my eyes, all the alcohol, the drugs, the sex, the deceit. I thought I was a Christian, I grew up in a christian home, but at that time, all my good deeds, all my goodness, couldn't save me. I cried out for Jesus. My mother always said He was a Deliverer and a very present help in time of need, I asked Him to please save me, to deliver me, that I had been a good person, that He couldn't possibly deny that fact, but there was nothing, no one...

GOODBYE OR GOOD NIGHT 4

I wondered what made mine so different from every other person so I quickly looked up to my father and asked him why he told everyone else Goodnight and told me Goodbye. He looked at me again, and then looked at every other person in the sitting room. At that point, everyone wanted to know why as well, so everyone sat back down on their respective cushions and looked intently at father begging with their eyes to know why there was a difference. Father then bowed his head, raised his head up again, looked at everyone again, looked at the ceiling, like he was searching for the right words and then looked at me and said, My son, in the morning, when the sun shall rise and we all wake up, I would see each and every other person in this house. I would meet them again, but you, I don't know where you would be, I don't know if the sun would rise with you, I don't know if I would see you again, and that is why, I said Goodbye to you rather than Goodnight. I know, the first thing...

GOODBYE OR GOOD NIGHT 3

Father then at that moment told us a bit about 1 Corinthians 13. Father liked to talk about love and the love of God for us. Sometimes he made the bible seem like fairy tales that you could never get tired of reading but to me, that's all they were. Fairy tales. They never seemed real, never seemed like something that actually happened. Sometimes I read the stories in the bible and laughed at how impossible all of them sounded. I never really understood how people who were literate and very well educated could believe such stories. I believed that with time, people would begin to see their foolishness is believing such fairy tales, such tales by moonlight, such fiction. Oh!! How I laughed at my family members especially. Sometimes when I teased them, they would all go with me and begin to tease me as well about how they would begin to turn water to wine right before my eyes and walk on water and raise the dead and I would be the one bowing to them and calling them Sir, Ma, asking ...

GOODBYE OR GOOD NIGHT 2

Although I had my problems, I was never one to throw it to the face of my family members. Its not like they didn't know, they were fully aware, but the love they showed me was so overwhelming that I could never do anything to hurt them intentionally. I was the 3rd child of my parents out of 5 children. My mother called me the Bridge of the family. She said since I was the middle child, I was to bridge the gap between my elder ones and my younger ones so no one felt left out in the home. Mother always did this sort of thing, she always made everyone feel special and important in the home. She gave each of us assignments which were essential to the growth of the family. They were not chores nor tasks that you did and that was it, they were more like missions which would last for our entire lifetime. My elder brother was the first and he was the Protector, my elder sister was the Giver, I was the Bridge, my younger sister was the Lover and the youngest of us, my brother was the Peace...

GOODBYE OR GOOD NIGHT

It was around 10pm when father called us all out. We were a family of 7. My father always said that the number 7 represented perfection but I never really saw any perfection in my life. Although my family was not poor and we never lacked anything, I just never really felt complete. So I basically used other things to fill the void in my life. Alcohol, Weed, Cocaine, Sex, all that you could ever think of that would give you pleasure for just a few minutes. When I first tried some of these things, the pleasure lasted longer but when I continued, it seemed like the pleasure was for a shorter period. Everyone else in my home seemed to be very joyful almost always. They were so content, sometimes I could feel their freedom but I wondered how we could all grow up in the same house and still feel an awkward distance between us. It seemed like something held me back but I wasn't sure what. My father was a Godly man and so my family was what you would call a Christian home. We all knew w...

ACCEPTANCE (THE END)

Uncle Lanre was the worse. When he was bounced around by his mother’s family to stay with uncle Lanre, somewhere in his heart, he hoped that uncle Lanre would be the father he never had but that wasn’t the case. Uncle Lanre was the worse for when he got high on alcohol or anger, he’d call him a bastard. That B word that he had never gotten used to. He couldn’t deny that he sometimes nursed the thoughts of killing uncle Lanre while he was intoxicated and shamelessly lying bare on his room floor but he needed the man to help him through school. He moved out of his uncle’s house as soon as he received an offer to study in the university and had never set foot in his uncle’s house since then. Not even when he heard that he was ill and asked to see him. Rejection was all he’d known all his life. No one wanted him, no one loved him. Only his grandma had shown him some love but died before her work could take root in his life. He hated the thought ...

ACCEPTANCE 5

He knew he wasn’t supposed to remember but he did. He was so excited when the bus left his home town. He enjoyed road trips, looking at houses and trees never ceased to please his seven year old senses. His mother had told him that they were going to meet his father for the first time and this was the best news he had heard all his life. He wore the best clothes he had, which were the ones his mother had bought for him three years back. Sure they were a little jumpy in length and he couldn’t find a good comb to comb his hair but he made sure he used more than enough salt to brush his teeth so that his father could be pleased. He wondered why his mother had never told him about his father before today. He couldn’t think much about it because now, he’d stop asking because he was about to meet his father. Jide and the other children at school could stop teasing him and calling him a bastard now because he was going to meet and know his father. He could stop praying every night to God for ...

ACCEPTANCE 4

I woke up to the smell of drugs and blood and the noisy chattering of nurses discussing about their patients. I knew I was somewhere in that gossip. I looked around and saw Tobe. He didn’t know I was awake so I just looked at him. His sleeves were folded up, he was thinking. Probably about why a good evening landed me on a hospital bed, I wondered same too. My head hurt and my lips when I tried to speak. I found it difficult to keep my eyes open, the room seemed to be swirling and it made me dizzy so I closed my eyes and I guess I passed out. The next time I opened my eyes, I still saw Tobe and this time he saw me. He told me that when he had called several times and couldn’t reach me on my cell phone, he decided to drive over to my apartment and that’s when he saw me unconscious on the floor with Dare nowhere in sight. I too explained my part to him and he boiled. I had never seen Tobe that angry before. Even though I asked him to let things go, I saw that he couldn’t. He was clearly...

ACCEPTANCE 3

I finally got the courage to tell him to get up. He did. I then told him to take me home so we could talk and he calmly obliged. By the way, i'm guessing that Tobe had no hand in what happened from the look on his face. I think he was more shocked than I was cos he was still holding his spoonful of soup halfway to his mouth. As we left the restaurant, I could have died in shame for I felt the sea of heads piercing their eyes into my back probably wondering like me, what had happened. When we got to my apartment, I offered him some water. I was a little shaky and some of my coordination took a hike that evening. When I finally got settled, I explained to him the reason why I hadn’t given him a reply to his proposal; I didn’t want to embarrass him. I also told him that I couldn’t get married to him and I gave him my reasons. He sat there motionless, having no readable expression on his face. I decided to give him time to process things so I stood to go to the kitchen b...

ACCEPTANCE 2

We stuck together all through our years in the university and still are friends. They have been the best friends I’ve ever had and would never think of losing them. Something happened. It had been four years after the university and we all have successful careers but we made it a principle to meet up and catch up with each other so that we’d never become too busy for each other. We really hated that most friendships often come to an end when friends drift apart while they all floated on the platform of excuses made up as a result of their jobs, schools, relationships and whatever causes good friends to become acquaintances at the end of the day. On one of those night outs with the guys, something really strange happened. We were in a restaurant eating and making fun of each other when suddenly Dare got down on one knee holding out a ring to me and asked me to marry him. It looked like a movie scene because all eyes seemed to be on me in the restaurant. I choked on the sal...

Guess what!

GOD IS NOT DEAD I BELIEVE IN JESUS.

ACCEPTANCE

There are only two people in my life that I can call friends: Dare and Tobe. They are the nicest guys on earth and I love them as if they were my blood. They both have the propensity to act all big brother-like to me and I let them. It gives me a sense of safety. Our history dates back to our days as undergraduates. I had just arrived campus as the latest jambite and was at a loss on how to locate my department. I had tried to get directions from some students but they all seemed to be in a hurry and the ones who weren’t, had no clue. I’m guessing it must have been as a result of the heroin I smelled in some of their breaths. I wondered about the large premises for a while before I stumbled into the duo. Luckily for me, they were both in my department and in the same level as me. They not only took me to the department, they also brought me up to speed on classes, notes I had missed and they gave me a tour of the university. Tobe was a light-skinned young man who wore a pa...

SUNDAY NUGGET

Image
For three days I looked for my copy of the key to my house but couldn't find it. I would take a walk to my cousin's workplace to get his own key to gain access to the house. But you know, the key was somewhere in the bag I carry daily. Until I dug deep into the bag, looking into all pockets, I only guessed I had lost it. You think you have lost out on life maybe because of a mistake in the past, failure in a job or career, delay in achieving success; and you are about giving up on yourself and to depend on hand-outs? Dig Down, go deep; the key to your success/break-out/break-in is within you. #powerSUNDAY #youcan #itsinyou #digdeep

Read this Mindblowing Story About Love

You can't regret reading this: "My wife called, 'How long will you be with that newspaper? Will you  come here and make your darling daughter eat her food? I tossed the paper away and rushed to the scene. My only daughter, Sindu, looked frightened; tears were welling up in her eyes. In front of her was a bowl filled to its brim with curd rice. Sindu is a nice child, quite and  intelligent for her age. I picked up the bowl. 'Sindu, darling, why don't you take a few mouthful of this curd rice? Just for Dad's sake, dear'. Sindu softened a bit and wiped her tears with the back of her hands. 'Ok, Dad. I will eat - not just a few mouthfuls, but the whole lot of this. But, you should...' Sindu hesitated...... 'Dad, if I eat this entire curd Rice, will you give me whatever I ask for?' 'Promise'. I covered the pink soft hand extended by my daughter with mine, and clinched the deal. Now I became a bit anxious. 'Sindu, dear, you shou...

Celebrating Love

Image
The common shape of love we all know isn't really how love looks like. Love looks like the person possessing and/or showing it. Today we are celebrating Love personified. The name Imaobong, translate to Love of God in English language. Let me tell you a bit about this Love . Imaobong (or Ima, for short) was born on June 5 (bribe me to tell you the year), to Mr and Mrs Etim Inyang. The baby was (and still is) the last of six awesome children. She received quality home training from God fearing parents and this helped in shaping her values. The young child had passion for arts and humanities, thus her choice of studying Law at the prestigious University of Calabar. She graduated from the university and proceeded to Law School, where she kept on with her mark of excellence and emerged with an amazing result. She is a born again Christian, a lover of God, an astute scholar, a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, a poet, a writer, singer, Artist (on a good...

Would you Marry you?

The best amongst us have a spec for a choice partner. Whether you like it or yes, you do. It's not your fault, that's just how we are wired. Some people like them slim, tall, dark and handsome while others like them chubby, muscular and 'not too far off the ground'. Some like a size 8 while others like a size 14. Whatever your choice of a partner is, one thing is important and that is: Would you marry you? Ever thought of this? Whilst you desire people to just conform to your taste, have you tried to examine yourself if you are good for them? Would you marry you: - With your bad breath that knows karate? - With your very strong, repulsive body odour? - With your heavy snoring in your sleep? - With your despicable disposition? - With your bad eating habits? - With your loud, rude voice tone and constant nagging? - With your dirty under garments? - With your smelly feet? - With your laziness and carelessness? - With your bossy nature? - With your 'magneti...

PIRATED LOVE

Image
This is not that kind of love which is like copied assignment that cannot be explained. It calls out from the depth of the soul, Whispers into the ears and Plays the strings of the heart, But it's not love! It causes an unexplainable excitement, Uncontrollable amusement but deep its root go not, For it's not love! It drives many to frantic decisions, Grave mistakes they wish they never made, Broken and shattered they've become, Mistaken Lust for Love!

RIB CRACKER

1. My Music Director is always accusing people of changing keys. He had better not bring it my way because I have been using the same key since we moved to our new apartment. What is it with music and keys, yet we do not get to see the locks? 2. Little Johnny was told to go and bath before going to bed. He replied his mum that he didn't want to get  faded. His mum had earlier said she wasn't washing her gown always so as to keep it from fading.

TWINED 9 (THE END)

Instead of feeling miserable breaking up from the man of her dreams, Becky felt a relief. Mike too felt the same way. He had always wanted the best for Becky and thought he would be the best man for her after all. He took her as a sister, he knows almost everything about her and had gone extra miles to please her. He thought loving her and caring wouldn't be that difficult. Becky too realised how she had emaciated in the past fews months. She felt such peace breaking off the relationship with Mike. He was always a nice guy but was not the one for her. She was grateful she learnt her lesson early before making a terrible mistake. They had thought the relationship would last forever and were planning to get married.    ********************************* Many people just like Mike and Becky go into relationships for the wrong reasons and they get twined at the end of the day. Some of these wrong reasons are: as a result of pity, a superficial attraction, thinking you owe the ot...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Image
The first friend and companion of any child. Unfortunately some children do not have the privilege to enjoy their mothers because they died giving life to them. I feel the care and love of a mother is best exemplified by animals. Hardly do other animals know their fathers, but they know their mothers because they are led to find food by their mothers, covered from harsh weather conditions by their mothers, they are defended from predators by their mothers. Humans are largely developed inside our mothers. Mothers are divine!!! Happy Mother's Day to all our fans!

TWINED 8

"All things bright and beautiful...the Lord God made them all" Maybe everything but the relationship between Mike and Becky. They thought the incident that led to them being together was divine but somehow they couldn't figure out why they were having issues coping. They had graduated from the University and Becky had returned home. Mike stayed back in the city to start life as a man. They kept in touch and their communication was good. Mike called for half an hour or more weekly. He was earning very little but still tried not to let Becky notice anything - the pains he was going through to keep an active communication. They saw after a while. Becky had visited town for a conference which would last few days. Most of the days she spent with Mike. They visited interesting places in town, had dinner and saw movies. They were excited to see each other. The distance must have created a chasm between them but all things seemed to be perfect as they were together. Every mom...

TWINED 7

Becky had been thrown into an emotional tornado and this wasn't good for her as her degree examination was few weeks away. The discovery of Mike's relationship had so much effect on her because she had created a mental utopia where she and Mike would live and grow old together. She had a list of specifications and only him fits in accurately. And the fact that the person who won her star prize was a misfit made her feel miserable. She would not come out of her house for days and people began to worry about her well being. She cut off all form of communication with Mike and wished everyone would just disappear. Some eight months passed and Mike was out of his relationship with Rose. They had been in it for close to two years and Rose still loved Mike but she wanted to get married. Mike was not financially ready to bear the demands of planning a wedding and raising a family. So they broke up, but kept in touch as though they never separated. One evening, Becky scheduled a meet...

TWINED 6

Becky quietly and secretly nurtured the feelings she was having for Mike. She couldn't open up to him or anyone because she was unsure of what they would think about her. She was hopeful that after some time, he may just fall in love with her, ask her out and they would be happy together. Oblivious to her Mike had met someone new, a girl Rose. She was one of those freshmen and had caught Mike's interest. She came to him in need of help, she needed to be tutored in a difficult course. The duo met severally and something just sparked off, out of nowhere. They started dating and kept it on a very low key. Their effort to make the budding relationship a secret was no longer successful as some close friends were let in on it. Becky, however was kept out of the loop. Mike had sensed slight jealousy when he told her he was helping Rose with a course. He pleaded with the friends that knew about his relationship with Rose not to tell Becky. If his suspicion was right, then letting her...

TWINED 5

Days became weeks and months became years, the friendship of Mike and Becky has gone so deep into 'siblingship'; that's how best I can describe it. They told each other almost everything that happened to them. From childhood stories to family issues to academic challenges that no one knew anything about. It was a strong bond but in all these no string was holding them together. Mike had gone into several relationships with other girls and he had Becky as his adviser, because they would always talk about his love life as she had none. Interestingly, she had never been in a relationship but she was a good listener and could offer some basic girly advice to Mike. She sometime vet the girls before Mike could go ahead to ask them out. Some time had passed and Mike was out in the market again. He had no one in his life and didn't want any at that time. This wasn't the first time he would be without a girl in his life but it was the first time Becky will feel different a...

BACK HOME 4

She opened the door and turned on the light. The place looked different with the light turned on, she had always remembered the place as always being so dark. She looked round the room and then the memories came flooding in. She heard the little girl's sobs, her screams. She felt her pain,  she was in real pain. She never had the time to be a child. She saw a crack in the wall close to her, she remembered that that was were he hit her head wen she screamed too much. That day she woke up to her head wrapped in a bandage; it ached,  she ached. She remembered his voice, you are daddy's little girl and daddy loves you,  loves you too much. Since your mommy is gone, you'll be mommy now. The tremors were back and this time her whole body shook. She started sweating and became dizzy. All the voices, hers and his were all over her mind. She fell to the ground and they all ceased. Then she heard him again,  you'll never find anyone to love you like I do. You'll never...

BACK HOME 3

The trip was long,  very long and her feet were swollen because she had sat for too long. Looking at them, she was glad she wore a pair of slippers because her feet looked like they had air blown into them. She didn't regret the distance, she knew why she had travelled out in the first place; she wanted to go as far away from her dad as she could. When she finally got into the town, she first wanted to go back home, just to see the old place before heading out to the hospital. When she got there, the smell in the air brought back all sorts of memories. The nostalgic feeling followed her into the house which was unlocked. Nothing much had changed, nothing at all. The chairs were still there, the lamp stands too, everything was where it had been twelve years ago. It's like he didn't move a thing. She walked into the kitchen and the smell of her mother's cooking was everywhere. Her mother? Was she here or is she hallucinating? But then again, she recalled the night h...

BACK HOME 2

While in the state of despair, she recalled that she had gotten a letter earlier. As a result of her work schedule, she hadn't had the time to read the letter until now. She wasn't sure whether to be happy about the news in the letter or to be sad. She knew that her new nature wasn't to accommodate any feeling of hatred but something inside her was a little bit happy that his end was near. If he died it seemed all her problems would go with him,  all her fears, her sorrow, her low self-esteem, all the baggage she had been lounging on her shoulder- a burden no one else but she knew about. She was crying again. She had gotten used to crying, it had been her companion all her life and that's why there was a box of tissue at every turn in her little home. Later at night, she struggled to fall asleep but sleep just wouldn't come. And why was she sweating? Why was she troubled? Her thoughts trailed back to the letter. What was it about the letter? Maybe she should go s...

BACK HOME

There was something about the voice on the radio but she was finding it really hard to place her finger on it. The voice sounded really familiar to her and as she paced back and forth in her kitchen it hit her. She now remembered the voice. How could she forget? It was the same voice on the same radio station that she heard twelve years ago that changed her life. You see,  he was a preacher of Christ's gospel and this same voice led her to Christ twelve years ago. It wasn't her conversion that she remembered now, it was the days before that, the years before that. Hana's father was a remarkable man, neat and full of integrity or so the people who didn't know him closely said. Hana knew differently, she knew him more than anyone else. The tremors were back in her fingers as she travelled down memory lane. He always had that effect on her. He was the reason she ran away, he was the reason she could not have one meaningful relationship with another man all these thi...

TWINED 4

Both Becky and Mike were now in the University running a preliminary program. Becky had come in with high expectations to be the best. She had drawn out a triangular life like the one her mother drew for her. Mike, well he just wanted to catch the fun and be like every regular guy. He would skip classes and miss test sometime. At first glance, Becky felt a connection between Mike and her. It wasn't like any other she had felt in the past. Her mother could lock her down but not her feelings, so she had had crushes on some guys. With Mike however, it was different and deeper. It felt like family and it was good for her. She saw Mike as the elder brother she never had. They soon found themselves in the same circle and the friendship began to grow. They shared almost the same cultural heritage, same passion and interests, and they were to study related courses. These were just signs of good things to come.

OLD 4 (THE END)

He wasn't at all sure of how he'd deal with the news in the letter. Everything was happening so fast and he knew he was finished for sure. The last thought that crossed his mind was of sweet Danyl; her peaceful smile. She didn't know what life was was or what it had in store for her,  she was going to grow into it like the rose does in the sun. When he woke up, he realised that he had fallen beside his rocking chair. Perhaps he thought he was going to fall into it when he did. After freshening up,  he dressed his best and went out to where it was going to happen: his old shop. There it stood,  like a moment in time. In his eyes,  he saw it as it once was and not as these crazy demolishing crew saw it. It was a beauty,  how could they not see it? He watched the old process with deep pain and regret. He saw all his life shatter in less than an hour,  the smiles and sweat that went into building it up were no where to be found. He wasn't going to cry,...

BACK HOME 5 (THE END)

Hana had finally made it to the hospital where her father was kept. He had been ill for a while and received letters from the hospital telling her to visit him as it would help him get better but she only posted the bill payments to the hospital. She never wanted to see him again. But now,  his condition seemed critical and it seemed like he was going to pass on so she decided to pay her respects, after all he was her father. When she got to his room and saw him lying there helpless, she was filled with bitter rage against him. He took her childhood from her and has lived to an old age. He marred her conscience and has enjoyed his free will. She hated every bit of him. She wished he died by her hands wrapped round his neck so tight that his throat would squeeze in her grip. But she reminded herself that this was not His way, it was not to be her way as well. She got to his bed side, he looked peaceful. Why wouldn't he be? He has had his cake and has eaten it, and he is about to e...
